Missplosion (she/they) conducts discussions on topics of Japanese culture, religion, and popular culture. Audiences are encouraged to share their own knowledge during lectures and discussion. She/they studied abroad in Japan twice and often speaks at Youmacon, Detroit's largest Japanese popular culture convention. She holds a Master's of Arts degree in higher education from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor's of Arts in Sociology and Japanese from Saginaw Valley State University. Currently, Stephanie works as an adjunct professor at Saginaw Valley State University.
