Meg Raphoon

Meg Raphoon studied the history of alchemy in England and Bohemia for her Doctoral Degree at the University of Michigan (ABD). As a cultural historian, Meg focused her research on the recruitment and patronage of alchemists in royal and noble courts during the reigns of Elizabeth I of England and Rudolf II of the Holy Roman Empire. During her research she had some unique experiences handling original documents and sharing libations with modern practitioner of alchemy at the former home of alchemist and scoundrel, Edward Kelley. She performs quite a bit of her own alchemy by applying Neo-Platonic ideals in the kitchen and behind the bar.
