How do we balance our own wrath and face judgment? How do we become more balanced and to find light in the darkness? How do we find harmony not in just music and poetry; but, within ourselves even in times of depression or trials? How can understanding her true nature help us in every aspect of our lives? Heathen Ethics, Then—and Now?
During the Viking Age, understandings of “right” and “wrong” were negotiated, lived out, and passed down in a society that was profoundly different from our own. Those differences can create confusion and misunderstanding when modern Heathens look to “the lore” for ethical guidance. In this class, we will analyze some of the unconscious assumptions we often make about ethics, examine how these assumptions differ from those of Heathens in the past, and discuss what all this could mean for Heathens and Pagans who are wrestling with how best to live in our complex, sometimes contradictory, always challenging world.

Dealing With Your Demons
Our minds are a psycho-spiritual battlefield between our “personal demons” and the “better angels of our nature.” When we say something is our “personal demon” we don’t mean they are an objective external demon or even a separate concept, but a part of us. Magickal traditions have a great wealth of techniques for dealing with external entities, but what about techniques for these symbolic internal demons? Can the same techniques apply? This class will focus on ways to deal with our negative and positive aspects by using magick to personify, externalize, and interact with them. If you treat your anger or fear as a demon, how can we overcome them? If you make an angel of your generous nature, how can we become more like them? How can dealing with your demons unlock your potential?

The Importance of Fairy Tales in the Modern World
In today's world, Fairy Tales are seen as quaint artifacts of a simpler time. However, these tales still play an important role in our modern world. Whether it's facing fears, working with toxic people, or making changes to destructive habits in our own lives, Fairy Tales help us face those things we fear, allow us to work through anger, and expose our Shadow selves. During this class, we'll discuss what Fairy Tales are, some of the symbolism found within them, and how to use these timeless tales to create transformation within ourselves.

Creativity, Magic and The Genius
Seeking inspiration? Use magic to enhance your creativity! The very word “inspiration” is rooted in the belief that invention is a force that comes from outside the self—even from the spirit world. To the Romans, the word “genius” once meant a guiding spirit. Several important grimoires provide guides to unite the initiate with a higher, perfected self or powerful spirit being capable of endowing formidable skills, knowledge, and power. More immediate methods include scrying, tarot, bibliomancy, dream incubation, and many others. In this class we will survey how magicians have used the spirit world for creativity and brainstorming in these and many other ways. Delve into historical practices and learn effective modern methods for cultivating your creativity.

Spirits of Vengeanace
In our magickal works, there sometimes comes a time when forgiveness is not what is required. In those instances, we call upon the universal forces of wrath to correct the path that has been derailed by opposing forces and dire circumstance. This is not for the faint of heart nor those given to rage. This ritual is intended for those who have made their peace and intend to focus their energies on turning the wheel toward the direction of external resolution.

Cuchulain and Morrigan, Finding Understanding in Chaos
Cuchulain, Brave and brash warrior who stands in strength. Morrigan, goddess of Majesty and Magic, who holds all the power of the land. Their conflict was the source of epic poetry, an uncompromising show of the strength of mankind and the gods. Ultimately, it speaks to the ephemeral nature of all things. Join us we tell their tale of rivalry and revenge, and as we reflect upon how all conflicts, however fiercely fought, must eventually resolve in peace. There will be a brief passion play followed by an invocation ritual working with Morrigan and Cuchulain. This ritual will have drumming, chanting and meditation. We thank the community for helping to make this happen as always. We especially thank Kyle, Kathy and her coven for their involvement.

Finding Balance: Exploring Gevurah and Mental Health
In this lecture, Hokyo with discuss the need for Gevurah in our lives in the context of Mental Health. We learned previously that Chesed (the right hand) is compassion for others but what about ourselves? Gevurah (the left hand) teaches us discernment and is the hand of the divine that repels the undeserving. Does that manifest in your life in the form of boundaries and self-care? Can you discern between someone truly in need or do give too much? We will be looking at several modalities of therapy and techniques to help you take care of yourself in the context of spirituality. Participation and sharing are welcome!

Continental Celtic Deities: Drawn From the Shadows
Cernunnos and Epona are deities that everyone in modern Celtic Paganism has heard of. We have images of who they were and how they were worshipped, but does this image accurately reflect the deities of the ancient Celtic world? We'll discuss the gods and goddesses of the continent, who they seem to have been, and how we can engage with them in our modern context. Symbols, iconography, and meditation are the tools we will use to seek that engagement, and we'll discuss ritual actions and prayers to help maintain those ancient fires once we've rekindled them in our lives.

Pressure Points – Methods and Myths
Are you ticklish, are you super sensitive to touch, or could you be one of those people that think that pressure-points have no effect on you? Any way you look at it, pressure-points are a bit more complicated than you might realize. They affect regions of the body in different ways allowing for vital essences to be directed to or away from the various “control centers” to parts of your body along very specific paths, yet can be sensitive enough to allow sensations from other people to interfere with balanced function. We will learn a few very important concepts and simple techniques that anyone can use to help relieve pain, allow a feeling of well-being, and help us focus one’s mind.

The time for words and soft talk has passed away. You stand with righteous might and fury in your hands. The transgressor has to pay for their misdeeds. But, is it really that simple? In this ritual, you will craft your weapons in your astral temples. You will learn to use them. You will create your magical warrior personality. You will create a weapon of fear. Then....you will learn to control what you have wrought. This is not the dark night of the soul. This is the midnight of ordered revenge.

Practicing Safe Hex
At some point in your life, you're going to want to. Most people do. When that time comes, you should know what you're doing and what to expect. With that in mind, you are cordially invited to learn the fundamentals of practicing 'safe hex'. What I like to call 'abstinence-only hex education' doesn't work anymore; there are too many resources available that make hexes and curses sound like fun. In this workshop, nobody's going to tell you not to do it. Instead, you're going to learn the basics of how and when, what you need, and how to clean it up (physically and energetically). So lace up those pointy black boots and let's have some real talk about things you will never learn in school.
