In this class, Hokyo will discuss the awakened ego's/soul's ability through meditative awareness to restrain our seemingly innate emotion reactions so we might bestow love upon others; even if they seeming are undeserving. By learning our true nature, we learn not only the kindness of Chesed but the fierce compassion of Gevurah. Gevurah is divine judgment and manifests not as vicious childish anger but as piercing discernment to see things as they be. Are you ready to awaken to this depth of mature spirituality in the context of the Zen path?
